Personalised tutoring that builds knowledge, confidence and independence
Every child learns differently. At Living Change, I provide personalised one-to-one tutoring and mentoring for primary-aged children across Northamptonshire, helping them strengthen their academic skills while developing the confidence to become independent learners.
Whether your child needs help catching up, wants to consolidate what they have learned at school, or would benefit from greater challenge, sessions are shaped around their individual needs, strengths and goals.
How can I help...
I offer support across the primary curriculum, including:
- KS1 and KS2 English
- Reading and comprehension
- Writing and spelling
- Phonics
- KS1 and KS2 Maths
- Times tables and number confidence
- Problem solving and reasoning
- SATs preparation
- Preparation for the transition to secondary school
- General academic confidence and study skills
I also provide mentoring and coaching where a child's main barrier is not simply academic knowledge, but confidence, motivation or attitude towards learning.
More than just tutoring
Sometimes a child doesn't need another worksheet. They need someone to understand why they are struggling.
I take time to understand your child's current level, their strengths, the areas they find difficult and how they feel about learning. Sessions are then tailored accordingly.
My aim isn't simply to help a child complete today's work. It's to help them become a more confident, resilient and independent learner.

Living Change is led by Shane Crick, an experienced educator with a career supporting children and families.
I bring an understanding of both the academic and personal sides of learning. This means tutoring can be adapted not only to what your child needs to learn, but also to how they learn best.
