Can you support children who are already achieving highly?

Absolutely. I provide advanced tutoring to challenge and extend high-achieving students, helping them to deepen their understanding and excel further.

How do you assess my child's needs?

I conduct a comprehensive initial assessment to understand your child's strengths, areas for development, learning style, and specific goals to create a personalised learning plan.

How do you measure progress?

Progress is measured through ongoing assessment, regular feedback, and discussions with parents. I track academic improvement, increased confidence, and engagement in learning.

What does a typical session look like?
A typical session is interactive and engaging, involving a mix of direct instruction, guided practice, problem-solving activities, and opportunities for questions and discussion, all tailored to the student's needs.

Where does tutoring take place?

Tutoring can take place either online via secure video conferencing platforms or in person at agreed locations within Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and South Leicestershire.

What safeguarding arrangements do you have?

I prioritise safeguarding with robust policies, including current DBS checks, secure online platforms, and adherence to all relevant safeguarding guidelines. I also hold numerous safeguarding qualifications.

Yes, I offer flexible and effective online tutoring sessions, utilising interactive tools to ensure an engaging and productive learning experience for students wherever they are.

Can you support children with SEND?

Yes, I'm experienced in supporting children with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), adapting my approaches to meet diverse learning requirements.

Do you provide SATs, 11+ and GCSE preparation?

I offer specialised preparation for SATs, 11+, and GCSE examinations (check for individual subjects), focusing on curriculum content, exam techniques, and building confidence to achieve optimal results.

How much does tutoring cost?

Do you offer group sessions?

While my primary focus is on individualised one-to-one tutoring, I occasionally offer small group sessions for specific subjects or exam preparation. Please enquire for current availability.

What happens if my child doesn't get on with tutoring?

I have a long established background in both teaching and mentoring/coaching. My experience is with pupils that often find school difficult for a number of reasons.

I want to ensure your child's tutoring journey is as successful and smooth as possible. Here are some key details and advice we often share with new students and their parents to help them make the most of their experience with Living Change.

Before your first session: Share anything that will help me understand your child—their strengths, interests, challenges, learning preferences and goals. Please ensure I have accurate contact, medical and safeguarding information. This allows me to tailor our approach from day one.

Encourage readiness: Encourage your child to arrive relaxed and ready to learn. There is no need to prepare perfectly; my sessions are designed to meet them where they are and build from there. A positive mindset is key.

Embrace the learning process: I encourage children to ask questions, make mistakes and try again. Progress takes time, so celebrate effort as well as achievement. Learning is a journey, not just about the destination.

Feedback and trust: Parents will receive appropriate feedback on progress and next steps. Most importantly, trust the process and your child’s potential. I am a partner in your child's educational growth.
